Nominate an entrepreneur for the 2018 David J. Freschman Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The award will be presented at the 2018 Entrepreneurial Summit, to be held at the Double Tree on Concord Highway on July 12, 2018.

Submission deadline:  May 28, 2018

Send nomination to:  Erica Crell (crelle@ncccc.com) at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce

Each year the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce recognizes a CEO or Business Owner who has passion, vision, the drive to succeed and who has put everything on the line in order to translate an idea into the viable, sustainable enterprise.

Do you know someone who fits the bill?

Eligibility Criteria

  • The CEO or Business Owner needs to be responsible for the company’s success and to have been in her/her position for a minimum of two years. The business must have been incorporated for at least three years as of May 28, 2018.
  • In select cases, the CEO/President of a subsidiary may also qualify. There are certain situations, such as an acquired business, where the subsidiary or divisional CEO/President has a separate P&L and retains substantial vision and authority over strategy and execution of the grand plan for that business and, as a result, can be considered an Entrepreneur.
  • Entrepreneurs can also be multi-generational (i.e., business passed from generation to generation). To qualify, the new leader should have exhibited his or her own form of risk and must have also “made their mark” on the family business.
  • The CEO or Business Owner’s company must be a member in good standing of the NCC Chamber
