The Emerging Enterprise Center has revamped the Chamber’s business education activities into a coordinated Business Education Program that is tailored to meet the needs of Chamber members, EEC Incubator members, and the small business community in New Castle County. The workshops are designed to be interactive, hands-on learning experiences built around topics that are relevant to the business owner, entrepreneur, business development/account manager, customer services person, human resources, or office staff employees. Our four different series cover at least one of the four key aspects of running a business: Concept, Customers, Operations, and Organization. There is a workshop that is relatable to every type of business.

A workshop series that focuses on marketing, networking, social media, and sales topics. Each topic offers a strategic and hands-on context that allows business owners and their appropriate employees a chance to learn from business professionals, on how to work smarter, not harder, to grow the business.
The Nonprofit Forum provides the opportunity for our non-profit members to come together to obtain valuable information and promote the mission of their organization. This workshop series occurs twice a year on topics that are relatable to non-profit and for-profit businesses on such topics like promoting the mission of the business, storytelling for better website traffic, or building a Board of Directors.
This workshop series combines best practices, local subject matter experts to guide the group, and a small class size to promote discussion, problem-solving, and of course, relationship building.
CEO Think Tank® is a comprehensive peer to peer program being offered by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and is specifically designed for that mid-size company (more than 20 employees and revenues over $1 million) who is looking to grow to the next level. It is the only CEO and Senior Executive support group program that incorporates peer interaction, business success and personal growth in a confidential and supportive setting.
This workshop series tackles those tough nuts-and-bolts aspects of running a business that every business owner and/or manager has to master. These workshops strive to deliver key take-aways and a hands-on approach to mastering topics like pricing strategies, cash flow issues, human resource and operational processes, etc.
The Growth Wheel is a toolkit that is used as a part of the EEC comprehensive program, and is made available to all businesses in a workshop format. It is a tool for decision making for startup and growing companies to get focused, set agendas, make decisions, and take action. This is a hands-on, action oriented workshop series designed to help busy entrepreneurs at all stages of growth. The workshops focus on topics within the four quadrants of the Growth Wheel: Business Concept, Customer Relations, Profitable Operations, and a Strong Organization.
The EEC has partners like SBA, SBDC, PTAC, SCORE, etc that are all invested in the success of businesses in New Castle County.
